The tiles went in today and I love them. I chose them against all advice to the contrary (all the tradies told me they'd make a new kitchen look too old fashioned) but the way I see it it's an old house and a totally contemporary kitchen would look out of place. Only three more sleeps until it's all finished!
I love them Caz...they look great...we actually chose similar ones a couple of years ago when we retiled our kitchen but in grey...
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful - very French, I think - and we have them in our current kitchen around the oven (which sits in a big recessed space as it is huge). They are easy to clean too!
ReplyDeleteYou really are doing the full scale renovation ! Hope you are all staying sane. You sound remarkably calm but are we your debriefing avenue ? How are you doing your cooking ? It's great getting things sorted in your house after walking into different rooms over several years and always have the thought about how you could change it to make it just right. Congrats and enjoy it thoroughly.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the encouragement guys. I'm learning so much during the renovation journey not least of which is to follow my instincts and not be talked out of things. The kitchen should be finished today (minus the painting)so can't wait to share some photos with you all!
ReplyDeleteOh, they're lovely! I prefer those to any 'newer' style ones. These have character. :-)
ReplyDeleteAlso, love your use of local labour there- he can look back and remember he was part of the renovations! :-)
